The Key West Poetry Guild!
Celebrating an unbroken chain of "First Sunday@8" readings since February 1977.

Allen Meece, Secretary   Anthony Klein, Moderator   Richard Marsh, Founder

We meet at 8 p.m. every First Sunday at Ricky's Blue Heaven Restaurant at the corner of Petronia and Thomas Streets in the Bahama Village side of Old Town Key West. Meetings are held in the upstairs room also known as Ye Olde Brothel, a relic of the Navy experience in Key West during World War II.
The public is invited to listen or read original poetry with us. We are a nurturing environment which has brought many poets out of the closet.

The Tropical Rhymers environ.
Neither grief, nor pain, nor hurricane
shall prevent these hardy poets
from accomplishing their literary rounds.

KWPG

Coming April 15, our 24-hour Marathon of Poetry

In conjunction with the Studios of Key West's Old Town Art Crawl, National Poetry Month and Robert Frost's Birthday, we are conducting a trial of literary endurance. We divide the 24 hours into 48 half-hour slots and poets may reserve as many as 4 slots, not contiguous, by writing to Allen at kwpoetry(at)gmail.com or by leaving a message at 305 292-8577 and Allen will get back to you with the available time slots.
